In accordance with 8 CFR 214.2 (f) (10), students in F-1 non-immigrant status may be eligible for a type of work authorization known as Curricular Practical Training (CPT). CPT is designed to allow students in F-1 status to apply knowledge and practice skills learned in the academic program in an employment setting.

This competition is held to promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate scholarly research and creative activity by recognizing outstanding student accomplishments throughout the twenty-three campuses of the California State University. If you are selected as a delegate from HSU, you will compete at CSU Sacramento, on May 4 or 5, 2018. Only those students endorsed by HSU may enter the statewide competition. The Office of Research, Economic & Community Development will pay approved travel costs for each student selected to represent HSU.

The CSU Family Medical Leave (FML) provides employees with unpaid leave time for up to twelve (12) weeks to care for self or eligible family members. The CSU FML incorporates both the Federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and California Family Rights Act (CFRA) leave entitlements and run concurrently.
